Simbu''s latest offering, ''Osthi'', saw a good opening and the makers cashed in good sum at the very opening of this STR flick. However, it may be recalled that even after the film was ready, the release took place weeks later and after a number of delays.
Kollywood grapevine is now abuzz that the negative rights of ''Osthi'' were snapped by T Rajendar, Simbu''s father, who had a due of Rs 10 lakh to Gemini Films Circuit, due to which Gemini didn''t release the film until the full payment was made.
And now, since Gemini Films Circuit is producing Simbu''s ''Podaa Podi'', it is said that Simbu aka STR is indefinitely delaying the shoot of this film which is being canned for a very long time now, for he is irked by what happened to his father.
However sources close to the actor rubbish these as rumours and express that the actor is currently busy with his international album and the film will release by February end.
