It's confirmed: the 52-year-old Sanjay Dutt will reprise his most endearing role in 2012
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Raju Hirani have made up their minds about what they're going to be working on next. Indian cinema's most popular franchise, the Munnabhai series, is back with a bang.
And despite all the stories swirling in the media, there are no surprises in the casting. Sanjay Dutt will return as Munna, as will Arshad Warsi as his beloved sidekick Circuit. This time around, the film will be titled Munnabhai Ki Aatma Katha.
Vinod Chopra confirms, saying, "Sanjay and Arshad are returning to play Munna and Circuit. We are developing the script right now, and the film should start in 2012."
Interestingly, it is a well-known fact that Chopra was offered a huge amount of money by a Hollywood studio to part with the super successful franchise, but he hasn't bitten the bait yet.
