Ajith’s style in the movie Asal
Just like what you see in the posters where he has sported a new look, his character is not the run-of-the-mill kind. Can’t reveal what he plays, but all I can say is that it is something that has not portrayed in Tamil cinema. He is a go-getter. The entire film be stylishly shot abroad in locations like Turkey, Ireland,Italy, Netherlands, Hungary, Holland, etc. Just mentioning all these locationsshould help you visualize the canvas of this film will cover. I am matching that with my narration. According to me a good screenplay should not be immediately or completely understood. The visualization in its entirety, is in the mind of the filmmaker.
The concept of Asal
When it comes to popular heroes, ‘revenge’ has played an important part in the story. It’s almost become a selling point. Asal is a revenge story on the lines of Annamalai and Baadshah, where the villain betrays the naïve hero, who finally pushes back. Sameera Reddy is cast opposite him. There are about half-a -dozen villains and six fast-paced action scenes. The music is scored by Bharadwaj. Special new sounds have been created by the internationally renowned faceless band Ykinz.
Ajith doing dual role
No, Ajith is not doing the dual role.Quite apart from tying it with the script, the title has strong associations with Ajith’s real life image.
Ajith as a star
Ajith became big even as I was directing him in Attagasam. The manner in which he adapted to the script, reproducing it the way the director wanted and bringing energy to it- he has not changed a bit. Ajith is comfortable with certain directors, and I am one of them. I give him lot of freedom within the scope of the script. Basically, he is a thinker. So, I know with the homework he does, he will deliver the best. I confess that I feel that my responsibility has increased, since I have to satisfy his huge fan base.
