The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Ileana is not trying to cash in on the success of her superhit Nanban.
The actress never took part in any promotion of the film including the big audio launch at Coimbatore, where she kept director Shankar and the entire team on
tender hooks till the last minute.
And now, Ileana is putting off big producers from Tamil cinema by asking for unheard heroine salaries.
Meanwhile, veteran producer Mogan Natarajan (original Deivathirumagal producer), has filed a complaint with Tamil Film Producers Council against Ileana.
She has not returned the Rs 50 lakhs advance she took for an aborted film of his which was to be directed by Vikram Kumar with Vikram as hero!
Ileana it seems is happy doing Telugu and Hindi films, where the payments for heroines are much more.
The actress feels that her role in Barfee opposite Ranbir Kapoor will give her that elusive entry into Bollywood.
Two top Tamil production houses making big hero movies have moved onto other girls, after trying to negotiate with Ileana.
