Nanban was the first film of the year to get the entertainment tax exemption. And, now Vettai had followed suit with the Tamil Nadu government exempting the
film from paying the entertainment tax. It is good news to movie buffs because Vettai is a clean family entertainer.
According to UTV’s Dhananjayan, Nanban topped the list because it was released prior to Vettai. Both the Pongal releases are complete family entertainers; it
has turned out to be!
